I’m kicking off September with a relatively large change in my relatively small existence: for the first time 5ish years, I won’t be playing at the Dinghy on IOP with the Almost Every Wednesday Band for the foreseeable future. As much as I have enjoyed the music and getting to know the incredible cast of employees and regulars, I’ve have been feeling the old familiar sensation of burnout as it permeates its way into every nook and cranny of my life, making the sweet bitter and the bitter downright intolerable and generally turning your humble narrator into the full-time asshole he is never far from becoming at the best of times. Something has got to give, and unfortunately, for a lot of boring financial and logistical reasons, my beloved Hump Days make the most sense to forgo. Proving my mastery of the Irish Goodbye, this is effective immediately - so to anyone who cares, thanks for the love and support, and here’s hoping to see you all sooner rather than later.
In other news, at my solo gig yesterday, I received this request:
Ever eager to please, I played this. An appropriate number for Labor Day, yeah? I thought so too.
You can catch me this week at any of the following:
Tuesday 9/2 PROHIBITION (solo) 8:30 - 11:30
Saturday 9/6 TATTOOED MOOSE PC (w/Dennis Ware & Buz Buzby) 3:00 - 6:00
